I came across this music video and had no idea what I was watching. The range of cultural references both in style and content was so broad and wild it was indescribable, and so very delicious.  more ›

Well, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP is out and cries of joy are doing the rounds on twitter. This is definitely something I want to experience first hand if I have an i device around. Until then.

New Google Images is really cool.

Whoa what. I can’t believe the guys at Mecha Fetus were behind this! Man that’s a really awesome combination, wish I had a 360 around.

Aaand in other news, my game is slowly coming together. Will write more about it soon.

Sometimes I pause to remember how crazy
amazing the internet is.

Remember a decade back when Flash was the new toy and every site had some kind of gimmicky Flash thingy? Unresponsive menus, huge splash screens, wonky little animations and, best of all, the “Get Flash Player” buttons. Holy cow remember those?

Yeah well, obviously Flash is everywhere now. If you were to turn off the plugin, there’d be alot of sites missing half their content (though many would be ads). But even now when I think about Flash, there’s still a tiny voice snickering in the back of my head. And yet here are two Flash thingies I made for my course. So I got a shiny new 23″ widescreen a week ago to replace my five year old 19″ ViewSonic, which by then had developed a yellowish hue and become horribly dim and fuzzy. God knows how I was doing illustrations on it. It took me a few days to get used to the massive amounts of extra space on both sides, as I’ve never used widscreens apart from gaming at net cafes. This lead to something unexpected when I revisited the site. What was originally an adequate left aligned design became this strangely unbalanced presence that seemed to purposefully avoid my view and shuffle to the corner of my vision. I was quickly reminded about those left aligned vs centered layout debates I’ve read during the years I spent using 4:3 monitors, which I thought were largely irrelevent and dictated by personal preferences. How wrong I was.

Anyway, I decided I should go center as well. So there. Do your eyes feel better now? Mine sure does.
